Tom Wilmes, Wilmes & Associates Architects

A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Thomas E. Wilmes graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Architecture in 1974. Ten years later, he founded Wilmes and Associates Architects, which provides commercial, retail, and residential architectural services. Wilmes is a licensed architect in fourteen states and currently serves as president of his architectural firm.

Along with his responsibilities to the Hellenic Ideals Program, Wilmes is heavily involved with Planned Parenthood of the Bluegrass, where he also serves on the executive board. He is a member of the board for the University of Kentucky Art Museum Collectors and is co-chair of membership. He enjoys spending his spare time with a good book or hiking in the mountains of North Carolina.

Wilmes is the father of two, Tom Jr. and Elizabeth, and he and his wife, Susan, currently reside in Lexington.
