
Dr. Jon S. Demos, Commonwealth Urology
After
completing his Urology Residency in 1980 at the University of Miami, Dr.
Demos received his Board Certification in Urology in 1982. Presently, as a
Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery (Urology) at the University of
Kentucky, School of Medicine, he is the co-director of the residency program at the St.
Joseph Hospital.
Dr. Demos attended his first Hellenic Ideals Program
in 1983 when his Transylvania pre-medical advisor, Dr.
Monroe Moosnick, received the Award. As a member of
the HIP Selection Committee in 1987, he introduced
Mrs. Harriet Van Meter as that year's Award recipient. Currently he
serves on the executive committee and is the 2006 Program Chairperson. Dr. Demos and his wife, Ellen are the proud parents of
Alexander and Katie Beth. As a first generation
Greek-American, he has enjoyed his modern as well as his
Ancient Heritage.
